Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy

Bars Checkmat Academy in El Monte (California) was founded in June 2020 by Marat  Kenzhebulatov. Bars Checkmat Academy began its history in 2008 in Almaty-Republic of Kazakhstan. Back in the day, it was a simple sports club named Bars, which was established by Duman Zhumadilov, and then transferred to Marat Kenzhebulatov (http://barscheckmatbjj.kz/en/home_en/)  This club rented out a fight room at the Central Stadium three times a week and overtime started representing the international academy of Brazilian jiu-jitsu Checkmat, under the leadership of the legend – Leo Vieira. According to the International Brazilian Jiu-JItsu Federation Checkmat Academy is one of the leading ones in the World for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Later on, the Bars club became a member of the Checkmat family, which produced a large number of champions such as Jackson Souza, Adam Wardzinski, Arnaldo Maidana, Catherine Fuhro Perret, Patricia Fontes, Lucas Leite, Marcus Almeida (Buchecha), Gabriel Almeida, Kauan Barboza, Jansen Gomes, Thiago Sa, Mathias and Matheus Luna, Gabriel Fedor, and Gustavo Carpio. Soon, the club began to grow even more and as a result moved to a separate location, which was specially equipped for jujitsu! This is how the Bars Checkmat Academy of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was born.
Starting 2020, the Bars Checkmat Academy opened its doors in the United States for the first time.
